Andrew joined Toyota Material Handling UK over 12 years ago and has consistently progressed within the business. “I started in the Forklift Rental Department at our Chilwell Office in the role of Rental Contracts Administrator before progressing into the role of Short-Term Rental Coordinator with a promotion to the role of Senior Short-Term Hire Rental Controller at our Leicester depot.”
Andrew then progressed in to the Used and Trade Department at our Fleet Management Centre five years ago as Used Product Sales Support. He explains, “The role is integral in supporting the regional and national sales teams with all their used equipment enquiries from their new and existing customers, ensuring that the used equipment truck we supply meets their requirements. I also support the sales teams with any trucks that the customer currently owns which they would like to trade in against a new truck order obtaining the best prices from our trader.”
Andrew also plays an important role in developing and implementing processes and systems to better support our sales team, always with the ambition to make it easier to find the best used truck to suit our customers’ business needs. A great example of this was Andrew’s integral role in facilitating changes within the Used department, which included system and process changes to make it more efficient, following Toyota’s core values.
Married with a pre-school-age son, Andrew’s spare time is dedicated to family life. He’s a keen photographer and develops film in his home-made dark room. He has had images on display in exhibitions throughout the UK and in the USA.
Andrew is also serious about his music and owns a collection of vinyl albums, which he admits, takes up more space than his wife would prefer!
Andrew adds: “One of the nicest things about working for Toyota is the people. We’re very much a team and at the end of each day it’s a great feeling to know that you have contributed to the team’s success in some way.”
